The 1992 Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team was coached by Ray Reid. In 1992, the Owls won the program's third NCAA Division II National Championship after finishing the year with a 21-2-1 record that featured a 15-game winning streak.
The Owls season followed a runner-up finish the previous year and culminated with a dramatic 1-0 win against Tampa for the title.
The team was led by a pair of All-Americans in Kevin Anderson and SCSU Hall of Famer Bo Oshoniyi as well as New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Year Sherwin Mullin. Anderson finished the season with 13 assists for the second-most in program history up to that point. Oshoniyi posted 16 shutouts on his way to a 0.47 goals-against average – which stood as the second-best in program history. Mullin totaled 14 goals and six assists that season and would go on to earn All-American honors in 1993 and 1994.
The team also featured Gil Hokayma, Cordt Weinstein and Chris Payne, who completed their careers as two of Southern's all-time scoring leaders. Hokayma scored a team-best 18 goals that season – which stood as the third-most in program history – and also had two assists while leading the team with 38 points. Weinstein totaled 27 points on 11 goals and five assists while Payne had nine goals and six assists for 24 points.
Additional starters included Chris DaSilva, Roland Joseph, Ken Pollard, Everald Benjamin, Nick Booth, Rich Wisdom and Chris Smith as well as Carlos Quintero, Victor Martins, George Kiefer and Mike Morais. Other contributing players were Steve Williams, Selvyn Valencia, John Crespo, Matt O’Donnell, Vahe Boyajian, John Gregg, Ashton Holder, John Ball, Reynold Martin, Emilio Williams, Rob Jacques and goalkeepers Matt Wagner and Ralph Scherpenzeel.
