Alfred Badger, '60, was a two-way end for the Owls' unbeaten team in 1956. As co-captain, he helped bring the 1959 team to the NAIA playoffs. Badger was selected in 1959 for the Associated Press Little All-America team, and played in the All-American Bowl, where he was named MVP of the defense. Also an inductee into the New Haven Gridiron Club, Badger went on to take part in several exhibitions in the Canadian Football League and American Football League before embarking on a successful career in public school administration spanning 35 years.
