Brian M. O’Connor, ’62, was an outstanding offensive lineman and tri-captain for the Owls. He earned NAIA All-America honors and was named Small College Sophomore of the Year in 1959. O’Connor signed with the National Football League’s Chicago Bears upon graduation. He subsequently coached football and baseball in Seymour and Branford high schools, and initiated the football and wrestling programs at Old Saybrook High School.
