Southern Connecticut State University Athletics

Cathy Inglese, ’80, was a star player on the Owls’ women’s basketball team for four seasons, played in three national postseason tournaments, and was given a scholar-athlete award. She was also an outstanding softball player and was inducted into the Connecticut Softball Hall of Fame. She went on to a successful coaching career at the University of Vermont and Boston College. She was named Conference Coach of the Year in 1990, 1991 and 1992.
