Don Perrelli, ’61, led the nation in scoring as a senior with a 31.5 point average. He set the single-game scoring record of 46 points and scored 1,854 career points. Perrelli went on to coach the Owls’ women’s basketball team for three seasons with a 57-28 record and three straight Division I tournament appearances. He also coached women’s basketball for St. John’s University and Northwestern University, leading all three teams to Top 20 rankings.
