Frank Morgillo, ’69, holds the Owls’ single-game record for rebounds with 32 against Hunter College in 1966 and is one of only two players in Southern history to amass more than 1,000 points and more than 1,000 rebounds. He grabbed 1,013 career rebounds with 1,112 points in just three seasons. Morgillo was also a baseball captain who batted .400 with 20 RBIs in 1969 before signing with the San Francisco Giants. He went on to be a highly successful baseball coach at New Haven’s Wilbur Cross High School.
