Michael J. Adanti, ’63, was co-captain of the 1962 Owls as a center and linebacker. He helped bring Southern to a three-year record of 21-7. He went on to serve as assistant coach at Southern and at the University of Bridgeport, before pursuing another career path. Adanti served as mayor of Ansonia from 1973 to 1977. He was named president of his alma mater in 1985.
