Sully Sullivan began as an undergraduate manager of the Owls’ basketball team, but took the job to new levels. He became legendary as equipment manager for all of Southern’s teams, carefully looking after equipment and uniforms since 1970. He cared for the teams and their gear with great personal pride and respect. Sully went on to become assistant director of athletics for the university.
