Southern Connecticut women's cross country captured their second Northeast 10 Conference Championship in program history with a win in Manchester, N.H. Courtney Henchcliffe also won the individual championship to become the second Owl runner to do so, all-time.
Henchcliffe headlined four runners in the top 10 and was one of three to earn First Team honors. The Owls' senior became the first individual champion since Laura Brustolon won in 2009. Henchcliffe crossed at 22:49.3, and 00:49.1 ahead of the second place finisher.
PJ Dauphinais and Erin Sola joined Henchcliffe on the NE10 First Team, marking the first season in which the Owls had three runners earn the recognition in the same race. Dauphinais was third at 23:26.2 while Sola was seventh at 24:00.4. Dauphinais also earned NE10 Second Team honors in 2023.
Abigail Bajorek finished ninth at 24:18.8 for NE10 Second Team honors while Maya Fisher's 22nd place finish at 25:48.8 earned her NE10 Third Team recognition.
With the win, the Owls will advance to the 2025 NCAA Division II East Regional on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Coontoocock, N.H.
