Wahlen's Strike Lifts Owls Past New Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. - Junior Johanna Wahlen (Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany) scored her third goal of the year to lift the Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team past the University of New Haven in a 1-0 contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless first half, Wahlen broke the tie at the 51:24 mark off a shot to the bottom left corner giving the Owls the 1-0 win. 

- This was Wahlen's third straight game with a goal and leads the Owls in goals and points so far this year.

UP NEXT
The Owls will head to Albany, N.Y. on Sept. 15 to face Saint Rose, with kickoff set for 2 p.m.
