NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team fell to American International College, 3-1 at Pelz Gymnasium. The Owls drop to 8-7 overall and 1-1 in the Northeast 10, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 3-14 overall and 1-2 in the NE10.
Sophomore
Erika Benson (Kings Park, N.Y.) led the attack for SCSU as she went 10-for-21 (.381) with four block assists. Both
Ella White (Gurnee, Ill.) and
Ariel Letcher (Sebastian, Fla.) collected eight kills apiece, while White also notched four aces, four digs and a block, and Letcher snagged 14 digs.
Tea Carter (Modesto, Calif.) had 36 assists for the Owls in the loss.
