EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team fell to West Chester University of Pennsylvania, 3-1 and 3-0 to Jefferson University in the opening day of the ESU Invitational. The Owls fall to 7-3 on the season, while the Golden Rams improve to 11-0 and the Rams improve to 5-4.

- Undefeated West Chester remained unbeaten after their match with SCSU, taking the first two sets of four and closing the game out with a  win after a tight fourth set.
- Addison Brill (Lewisville, Tex.) made her SCSU debut as the Owls setter against West Chester collecting 28 assists, five digs, three kills and one block.
- Jennifer Dawson (Clinton, Conn.) led the attack for Southern Connecticut as she notched 15 digs, 10 kills and two services aces.
- Gabriela Gaibur (Monroe, N.Y.) collected 10 digs, six kills and two service aces, while Anna Venard (Thornton, Colo.) tallied 15 digs.

- The Rams swept the Owls to remain undefeated in the all-time series with SCSU.
- Ella White (Gurnee, Ill.) led the Owls in kills with seven, adding three digs, three blocks and one assist. Dawson added five kills, eight digs and one service ace. Tea Carter (Modesto, Calif.) added 11 assists.
