ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. - The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team defeated Daemen College, 3-1, and fell to Molloy College, 3-1, at Quealy Gymnasium on Sept. 26, 2021. The Owls record stands at 12-3, while Daemen goes to 7-6, and Molloy goes to 6-7.

Gabriela Vazquez (Meriden, Conn.) recorded a team-high 15 kills, while
Krishnalei So'oto (Oceanside, Calif.) had 12 digs and three services aces.
Erika Benson (Kings Park, N.Y.) set a new career-high with eight blocks to go along with three kills.

Gaibur recorded 10 kills, 11 digs, and three service aces. Vazquez had 13 digs and Jones had 21 assists, while Benson added three blocks.
Abigail Epstein (Crystal River, Fla.) and
Layla Cortez (Miami, Fla.) also added nine kills each, and Jones had 21 assists.
Notes against Daemen
- Taylor Jones recorded her third double-double of the season.
- Jones recorded her third game this season with at least 40 assists.
- Erika Benson became the first player with eight total blocks in a game since Kirstin Colwell had eight against Franklin Pierce on Oct. 27, 2018.
