Southern Connecticut strung together four solid performances through 13 sets this past weekend. In their final game of the weekend, the Owls swept NE10 opponent Saint Rose in non-conference action.
Notable Facts
- Gabriela Gaibur tallied her second double-double of the season against Bloomfield on Sept. 5 with 13 kills and 12 digs.
- Taylor Jones recorded her fourth-straight game of double-digit assists against Saint Rose on Sept. 5 and finished the four-game weekend with 68 total assists. The last first-year player to tally double-digit assists in their first four collegiate games was Kailyn O'Neal from August 23, 2018 to August 27, 2018, where she registered four-straight games with 20-or-more assists.
- With the exception of the 2020 pandemic year, this is the second-straight season the Owls have gotten off to a 4-0 start to the season.
- The only set the Owls have lost so far this season came during the third set of their match against Queens on Sept. 3. In total, Southern has won seven consecutive sets dating back to their Sept. 3 match against Queens after sweeping both Bloomfield and Saint Rose.
