NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming & diving fell to NCAA Division I Central Connecticut, 193-50, in a duel meet at the Bruce Hutchinson natatorium.

Ella Marzec (Bothell, Wash.) and Olivia Strelevitz (Gales Ferry, Conn.) led the way for the Owls, both finishing as the Owls' top scorer in two events each. Nicholle Denault (West Hartford, Conn.) also finished second in the 1 Meter diving event.

400 Yard Medley Relay
Southern's "A" Relay consisting of Maddie Dean (Lawrence, Ks.), Nicole Cislo (Wallingford, Conn.), Justice Glasgow (Warren, Mich.) and Rebekah Lockery (Stamford, Conn.) posted a score of 4:11.12 for third place.

1,650 Yard Freestyle
Natalie Weier (White Beak Lake, Minn.) was the Owls' top finisher in the 1,650 Freestyle event with a score of 18:52.13 for third place.

200 Yard Freestyle
Arianna Arturi (Mount Olive, N.J.) finished fourth in the 200 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 2:00.54.  

50 Yard Freestyle
Marzec touched at 26.37 for fourth place in the 50 Yard Freestyle.

100 Yard Butterfly
Strelevitz finished third in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:02.39.

1 Meter Diving
Denault finished second in the 1 Meter Diving event with a score of 205.73.

100 Yard Freestyle
Marzec was the Owls' top finisher in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 56.70 for third place.

100 Yard Backstroke
Strelevitz picked up a point for the Owls with a time of 1:03.15 in the 100 Yard Backstroke.

500 Yard Freestyle
Faith Littleton (Jackson, Mo.) led the Owls in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:29.32 for second place, followed by Lockery in third place at 5:29.46.

100 Yard Breaststroke
Lindsay McCawley (Horseheads, N.Y.) turned a team-best time of 1:12.48 in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.

3 Meter Diving
Denault posted a score of 179.55 while Isabella Forte (Peabody, Mass.) scored a 164.25.  

400 Yard Individual Medley
Dean led the Owls in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 4:47.66 for second place in the field of eight.

200 Yard Freestyle Relay
The Owls' 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team comprised of Arturi, Cislo, Brooke Keeney (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Hailey Nyquist (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished third with a time of 1:47.73.
