SCSU Volleyball Tripped By New Haven, 3-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut volleyball lost to New Haven, 3-0, in a non-conference matchup against Northeast 10 at Pelz Gymnasium in New Haven, Conn. With the loss, Southern drops to 13-9 on the season while New Haven improves to 9-8. 

Avery Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo.) came off the bench to total three aces and five digs as well as three kills while Sofia Suarez Ramos (Canovanas, Puerto Rico) had five blocks and three kills. Gabriella Gaibur (Monroe, N.Y.) totaled 15 digs and three blocks while Aubrey Villena (San Diego, Calif.) had 19 digs. 

Southern resumes NE10 play when it travels to Garden City, N.Y. to take on Adelphi on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. The Owls return home to host American International on Friday, Oct. 14 for Homecoming at 7 p.m. at Pelz Gymn.
