Southern Connecticut gymnastics will host Rhode Island College at the James Moore Field House on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. Prior to the start of the Owls' home meet against the Anchorwomen, SCSU Gymnastics will honor its six seniors, Chelsea Baker, Delaney Fields, Cassidy Girolamo, Bianca Leon, Noely Macia and Hannah Stahlbrodt as part of Senior Day.
 

SCSU ATHLETICS SPECTATOR POLICY, EFFECTIVE SATURDAY, FEB. 12, 2022 

In compliance with the university's policy, spectators will be permitted regardless of vaccination status and will be required to wear a mask inside James Moore Field House and all surrounding areas at all times. Spectators should also maintain 3-feet of physical distancing between parties. Access to the main level and court will not be permitted, and all seating will be located on the second floor.

THE OWLS' LAST TIME OUT
Southern is coming off a loss at Yale on Sunday, Feb. 6, 194.125-190.600. Bianca Leon (Miami, Fla.) was the Owls top finisher on the Uneven Parallel Bars and the Beam while Hanna Zebdi (Ashburn, Va.) led Southern on the Vault.  Hanna Stahlbrodt (Cicero, N.Y.) posted the Owls top score on the Floor Exercise while also tallying a 38.125 All-Around score.

NOTES
  • Through its first three meets of the season, the Owls have a head-to-head record of 2-2.
  • Seniors Hannah Stahlbrodt and Cassidy Girolamo have been the Owls' top two scorers for the year, with Stahlbrodt contributing 115.175 total points to Girolamo's 82.675.
  • On the vault, first-year Owl Brooke Burkhart has competed in the last two meets, posting a 9.725 in both of them. Her average ranks fifth among all NCAA Division II gymnastics.
  • Hanna Zebdi is averaging a 9.683, which ranks 12th nationally, with Stahlbrodt close behind at 9.675 (14th).
  • On the bars, Stahlbrodt leads Southern, and ranks second nationally, with an average score of 9.775 while senior Chelsea Baker is averaging a 9.525 in her last two meets.
  • On the beam, Libby Allen averaged a 9.688 (6th nationally) in the first two meets of the year, while Bianca Leon checks-in at 9.650 (8th) in the Owls' last two meets. Emelia Diaz and Angel Lee are averaging a 9.567, each, while Noely Macias logs a 9.525.
  • On the floor, Stahlbrodt has been dominant with a 9.750 average (8th). Leon checks-in at 9.50.
  • Stahlbrodt is the lone Owl to collect an all-around score this season and is averaging a 38.392.
  • Stahlbrodt's 38.392 All-Around average ranks third among all NCAA Division II gymnasts.
