DURHAM, N.H. - Southern Connecticut State University gymnastics finished fourth at the Whittemore Center Quad Meet on the campus of University of New Hampshire on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Penn State finished in first at the meet with 196.550 points, New Hampshire finished second with 195.775, Brown finished third with 194.675, and the Owls finished with 190.400 points.
VAULT
Hanna Zebdi (Ashburn, Va.) led Southern with a score of 9.800, a new career best and the fourth best at the meet, while
Cassidy Girolamo (Newington, Conn.) had a score of 9.725 and
Sidney Wilson (Woodbridge, Ill.) had a personal-best score of 9.700.
Brooke Burkhart (Haymarket, Va.) posted a score of 9.650,
Lexi Bracher (Oakton, Va.) recorded a personal-best score 9.600, and
Breyana Daniels (Harrisburg, Pa.) had a score of 9.325.
BARS
Ciana Rios (Vineland, N.J.) posted a personal-best score of 9.725, while
Delaney Fields (Denver, Colo.) also had a personal-best score of 9.675. Girolamo posted a score of 9.650, a personal-best.
Jayci Jordan (Culleoka, Tenn.),
Audrey Arnold (Kirkland, Wa.), and
Chelsea Baker (Neptune, N.J.) rounded out the bars with scores of 8.950, 8.475, and 8.100.
BEAM
Sarah Moussa (Bohemia, N.Y.) had the highest score for Southern on the beam with 9.675, a personal-best with
Angel Lee (Chino Hills, Calif.) right behind with 9.650.
Emelia Diaz (Jacobus, Pa.) had a 9.575 and
Molly Froman (Woodstock, Ga.) had a 9.550.
Emiley Kahl (Dallastown, Pa.) recorded a score of 9.025, while Zebdi had 8.750.
FLOOR
Zebdi had a score of 9.800 to lead Southern, good for ninth among all competitors. Girolamo followed with a personal-best score of 9.750.
Ava Boyd (Braintree, Mass.) recorded a score of 9.625, Rios had a score of 9.500, Wilson posted a score of 9.300, and
Alexa Melanson (Moncton, New Brunswick) posted a personal-best score of 9.225.
