Suzane Pires is a member of Portugal's 2022 UEFA Women's Euro. Portugal played Switzerland to a 2-2 on July 9 before they fell to Netherlands, 3-2, on July 13. Pires and Portugal's next game is on July 17 against Sweden.
Pires had an extraordinary collegiate career at Southern Connecticut, where she scored 25 goals and had 13 assists. She ranks sixth all-time in program history in points with 63, sixth in goals, and eighth in assists. As a senior, Pires was named an All-American in 2013 and was selected to play in the Senior Bowl. Throughout her four years, she was a three-time All-New England, All-Region, and All-Northeast 10 Conference selection. Professionally, Pires has played for Ferroviária, C.S. Marítimo, Santos FC, Portuguesa, and the Boston Breakers, totaling 39 career games while appearing in 25 career games with Portugal's national team.
