SCSU Men's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Schedule

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut State University Men's Basketball has announced their schedule for the 2025-2026 season.

The Owls are coming of a 17-11 season that saw the team reach the Northeast 10 Quarterfinals before falling to Bentley. Key returners include 2023-24 NE10 Defensive Player of the Year and 2024-25 All-Defensive Team member Cherif Diarra. Isaac Hester is back after starting every game for the Owls last season, as well as Christian McClease, who is coming off All-Rookie Team honors. Elijah Wood and Makai Coleman return after playing key roles off the bench in the previous season, and Kazell Stewart looks to make his return to the court after missing last season with injury.

The Owls open 2025 at the Bridgeport Crossover Tournament, taking on Post and Bridgeport on November 14th and 16th. From there, Southern takes on Adelphi, American International, and Franklin Pierce all non-conference battles. The Owls close out 2025 with three more out-of-conference matchups against Caldwell on December 15th, Felician on December 17th, and Molloy on December 20th.

Southern kicks off the New Year against Mercy on January 2nd before entering conference play. They take on Bentley, and Pace on the road before returning to the Elm City to take on Southern New Hampshire and Assumption. The Owls go back on the road to take on American International and Saint Anselm on January 17th and 19th, then play a stretch of four out of five home games versus Adelphi, Saint Anselm, Bentley, and Pace, with Saint Michael's the lone road game breaking up the stretch.

After playing Pace at the start of the month, Southern continues February basketball against Southern New Hampshire on the 7th and Assumption on the 10th, both on the road. The Owls close out the regular season with games against American International at home and Adelphi on the road, before returning to James Moore Field House to play Saint Michael's and Franklin Pierce.
