Brian Reynolds

Brian Reynolds is in his fourth year as head strength and conditioning coach at Southern Connecticut State University. He is responsible for the design, implementation and oversight of programming for the Owls’ teams.

Reynolds’ additional duties include the oversight of performance testing sessions for both individual and team sessions. He holds certifications as a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist  and as a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.

Reynolds has also gained additional experience in the field as the Assistant Health and Wellness Director at the Greater Waterbury YMCA (2006-10) and as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Better Athletic Development in Shelton, Conn. (2005-06). Reynolds also completed an intership at the United States Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N.J. and has served as a Fitness Instructor for Coast Guard Basic Training.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Eastern Connecticut State University, where he was a member of the nationally ranked baseball squad and was honored with the department’s Outstanding Major Award as a senior.

Reynolds is currently working on a master’s degree in exercise science/human performance from SCSU.

Reynolds currently resides in Naugatuck, Conn. with his wife, LeAndrea and their daughter, Jayden.
