NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore Shatajah Wattely (Uncasville, Conn.) of the women’s outdoor track and field team and senior Jimm Guerrier (Brockton, Mass.) of the men’s outdoor track and field team have been named as the Connecticut Army National Guard/Southern Connecticut State University Athletes of the Week.

Guerrier’s efforts helped the Owls finish as the New England runner-up at last weekend’s Championship. He earned All-New England honors in three events over the weekend. Guerrier placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 15.05 meters, a NCAA provisional qualifying mark. He was also third in the 200 meters (21.72) and sixth in the 100 meters (10.89).
