Women's Basketball Fall to Saint Thomas Aquinas 67-62

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Southern Connecticut State University Women's Basketball team fall to Saint Thomas Aquinas College today, 67-62. The Owls had a 12 point lead at half but couldn't hold to it against the Spartans in the second half, giving up 40 points. Sylvonya Moore (Stockton, Calif.) led the charge for the Owls, scoring 19 points in the game. The is the second game this season Moore has been able to put up 19 points.

Shaniqua Fuller (West Haven, Conn.) helped the Owls scoring 10 points, and four steals in the game. Starters, Alex Fiola (Fall River, Mass.) and Keshia Primo (Mississauga, Ontario) each accounted for nine points. Fiola also added four assists in the game.

The Owls fall to 1-1 on season. Their next game will be Tuesday, when they travel to Worcester, Mass. to play Assumption College. The game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m.
