NEW HAVEN Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team bounced back with a win over Adelphi, 60-42, on Wednesday evening. Senior Shelley Pierson (Watervliet, N.Y.) led the team with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Sylvonya Moore (Stockton, Calif.) added to the action collecting seven assists and five steals to go along with 10 points on the night.

Senior Logan Lentz (Chambersburg, Pa.) added nine points, all coming from three-point range. Camille Fantini (Andover, Mass.) chipped in 10 points and three rebounds for the Owls. Lauren Allen (Sterling Heights, Mich.) and Keshia Primo (Mississauga, Ontario) each contributed eight points in the win.

SCSU improves to 11-14, 7-13 in Northeast-10 conference play.

The Owls will be back in action Saturday in the final regular season home game against the College of Saint Rose. The game will honor both seniors on the team and it is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m.
