Box Score RINDGE, N.H. - The Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team concluded its season tonight, losing to Franlin Pierce 74-66 and eliminating themselves from the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.
Senior
Keshia Primo (Mississagua, Ontario) tied her career-high; set on Tuesday night against AIC, posting 29 points along with three rebounds.
Sydni Lester (Teaneck, N.J.) recorded nine points and five rebounds.
Taylor McLaughlin (Colchester, Conn.) tallied eight points and six rebounds.
Danielle Powell (Pine Bush, N.Y.) chipped in six points along with eight rebounds.
Southern held the lead for the entire first half, leading by as many as 11 points. Going into the break the Owls were up 41-31.
Franklin Pierce was able to go on a 12-6 run in the second half, tying up the score at 51 with 11:27 remaining. This was followed by another another 10-1 run, making the score 61-52 with 7:48 to go. A jumpshot from Primo pulled SCSU within five points with 1:10 left in the game. However, time was just not on their side, the Owls would go on to lose by a final score of 74-66.
The Ravens were led by Kara Charette, posting 22 points in the contest.
The Owls end their season with a 12-15 overall record, 8-12 in Northeast-10 Conference play. Franklin Pierce moves on to the next round with a 16-11 overall record, 12-9 in NE-10 play.
