Luke Beesley (Champaign, Ill) registered his first career double-double as an Owl as the Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team dropped a 86-82 decision to Adelphi.

FIRST HALF
-Adelphi went on a 22-3 run in the first half to give the Panthers a 15 point lead early.
-The Owls chipped away at the Panthers lead with an 11-2 run of their own to bring them back within six points with seven minutes remaining in the first half.
-The offense would cool off in the last five minutes as the half would conclude with the Panthers up 44-35.
SECOND HALF
-The Owls went on a 16-6 run midway through the second half to bring down the Panthers lead to six points.
-Adelphi led by as many as 14 points, but a late 17-7 surge from the Owls would bring them back to as close as four points. Time would eventually run out as the Owls dropped a 86-82 decision.
-The story of the game was 3-point shooting as Adelphi went 12-37 from beyond the arc compared to the Owls who went 7-20 from three point range.
