GAME HIGHLIGHTS
FIRST HALF
-The Owls fell behind early and an 11-0 run AIC midway through the first half gave the Yellow Jackets a 12-point lead with eight minutes left. The Owls would chip away at the lead, and went on a 17-9 run of their own to end the half down by three, 31-28.
SECOND HALF
- Southern forged ahead early in the second half, and the lead flipped back and forth for the next several minutes. With the game tied at 53-53, SCSU ran off six straight, only to have AIC counter with six in a row to force the final tie of the game at 59-59.
- Beesley hit two free throws on Southern's next trip down the floor, and the Owls never trailed again. The Owls led by as many as seven in the closing minute and held on for the five-point win.
