- Assumption outscored the Owls, 22-16, in the third quarter. They held their largest lead of the game with 1:29 remaining in the frame at 12 points.
- The Owls ignited their offensive flares in the final frame, as they began to chip away at the Greyhounds lead. A layup by Hurlbert tied the game with 6:06 remaining and created a momentum shift. Assumption briefly regained the lead for two minutes before
Africa Williams drained a 3-pointer to give the Owls a two-point lead.
- Steinauer's steal and ensuing layup with 2:12 remaining put the Owls up by two possessions. Assumption would come within two points of SCSU, but Hurlbert and Steinauer's efforts from the free throw line late in the quarter put the game away.
