NEW HAVEN, Conn. -The Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team clinched a berth in the NE10 Tournament this evening with a 1-0 win over Le Moyne at Jess Dow Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The first half ended scoreless with both teams having two chances on net. With the Owls taking four corner kicks compared to the Dolphins zero.
• The Owls got on the board in the 70^th minute after freshman Paula Nunez Escobar (Basque Country, Spain) lofted one towards the goal and a header was tipped past the Dolphins goalie for an own goal.
• Freshman Abigail Allen (Orange, Conn.) made six saves in the Owls victory, while junior Kelly Lamb (Ledyard, Conn.) and freshman Kaitlyn D'Amico (Middletown, Conn.) each collected two shots apiece on the night.
