NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Highlighted by a stellar night from senior tri-captain
Alyssa Gage (Beverly Hills, Fla.), the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team swept Saint Anselm College this evening at Pelz Gym. The Owls improved to 17-13 overall and 9-4 in the NE10, while the Hawks go down to 16-10 overall and 7-6 in the NE10.

As a team, SCSU put together an overall stellar performance, they collected contributions from multiple players on the court. Gage led the offense for the Owls with a team-high 14 kills on the night with a .400 hitting percentage, while fellow senior
Leanna Jadus (Long Beach, Calif.) led the Owls with a game-high 18 digs, along with eight kills on the night. Sophomore
Kirstin Colwell (Coconut Creek, Fla.) got her arm moving and chipped in five kills and sported a .455 hitting percentage, while freshman setter
Kailyn O'Neal (Katy, Texas) kept her groove going tonight for SCSU as she collected a team-high 32 assists with two kills and a block.
NOTES
- Gage has collected double-doubles in the past three matches and extended her double-digit kill streak to eight consecutive matches.
- Jadus' team-leading 18 digs tonight were a season-high for the senior.
- With their kill-counts tonight, Gage and Jadus are tied with each other for second in the NE10 in total season kills with 346.
- O'Neal's 32 assist performance tonight put her in fifth in the NE10 in total assists with 846.
- With tonight's win, the Owls are on a six-game win streak against NE10 teams.
