HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Owls started out with a 10-2 run. However the Rams would tie it at 10 with an 8-0 spurt. The Owls quickly found their offensive groove and went on a 15-0 run midway through the first half to build a 25-10 lead.
- SCSU maintained that cushion and went into the half leading 49-34. The Owls shot 60.6 percent (20-of-33) from the field and were 7-of-7 from three-point range in the first half.
- The hosts extended their lead to as many as 19 points early in the second half. However, the Rams slowly chipped away at the Owls' lead and tied the game at 71 with 38 seconds left in the game.
- Luckett, Jr. made what would eventually be the game-winning layup with 7.5 second left courtesy of an offensive rebound and a putback. The Rams had one last shot, but Ulyen Coleman (Brockton, Mass.) got a piece of a three-pointer at the final horn to give the Owls their 14
th win of the season.
