HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls went up 5-0 early until Adelphi made a four-point play to get on the board. The Panthers would then go on a 10-4 run to go up by six. The Owls would respond with an impressive 15-0 run and held Adelphi scoreless for four and a half minutes to build a 26-17 cushion.
- SCSU finished the first half with a 6-0 run to go into the half up 12 points, 38-26. The Owls shot 47 percent from the field (18-of-38) in the first half.
- The Owls would cruise in the second half, leading by as many as 17 points en route to their 15th win of the year.
NOTABLE FACTS
- Before tonight's game, the Owls honored their two seniors -
Bernard Brantley (Stratford, Conn.) and
Jerry Luckett, Jr. (Milwaukee, Wisc.).
- Brantley registered nine points, four assists and 11 rebounds, with the 11 boards a career-high for the senior.
- Luckett, Jr. tallied 12 points and five rebounds in his final regular season home game as an Owl.
- Four Owls reached double-digit points in the win.
