NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Five different Owls notched double-digit dig totals and three had double-digit kill tallies to lead a balanced effort for the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team in a 3-1 win over LeMoyne tonight.

Leanna Jadus (Long Beach, Calif.) had a game-high 19 kills and added 14 digs for her fifth double-double in the last six games.

Jillian Chambers (Shelby Township, Mich.) notched her first collegiate double-double with 11 digs and a career-high 12 kills, along with a .480 hitting percentage.

Alyssa Gage (Beverly Hills, Fla.) registered 11 kills and four blocks on the night.

Kailyn O'Neal (Katy, Texas) posted a game-high 30 assists and 12 digs for her third double-double of the year.

Anna Venard (Thornton, Colo.) had a game-high 17 digs against LeMoyne.

Gabriela Vazquez (Meriden, Conn.) notched seven kills and 15 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Owls jumped out to a 6-0 lead in game one. LeMoyne closed the gap to 13-11, but the Owls closed by scoring 12 of the final 17 points en route to the win.
- The domination continued in game two, as SCSU jumped out to a 10-3 advantage. The Owls led by as many as 15 points and went on to win by 14.
- Game three was tied at 13-13 before LeMoyne scored seven of the next eight points to seize control.
- Southern Connecticut scored 13 of the first 16 points in game four and was never really challenged on its way to the win.
