Kelsey Burr (Wallingford, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal as the Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team defeated Saint Anselm College, 1-0, in conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls came out in the first half and outshot their opponent, 6-2, and forced the Hawks goalie to make two saves in the half. The Owls had the best chance in the first half as they were awarded a penalty kick at the 3:30 mark but were unable to capitalize. They also hit a crossbar during the opening 45 minutes of play.
- The Owls continued their offensive surge in the second half and were rewarded with goal at the 70:31 mark. Burr hit a curler into the bottom right corner off an assist from junior
Johanna Wahlen (Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany) to give Southern its third conference win on the year.
