Owls Stun No. 16 Nationally Ranked Adelphi, 1-0

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Freshman Kelsey Burr (Wallingford, Conn.) scored the lone goal of the game to lift the Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team past No. 19 nationally ranked Adelphi University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Neither team netted a goal in the first half despite two shots on goal for each team. 

- In the second half, the Owls were awarded a penalty in the 50th minute of play, Burr converted the chance and scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 1-0 win.  

UP NEXT 
The Owls are back in action on Sept. 29 as they face American International College, with the game set to start at 1 p.m.
