Owls Split Pair in Delaware, Sweep Chestnut Hill

NEWARK, Del. – The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team split a pair of non-conference games at the Wilmington University Tournament today. The Owls were swept by Jefferson in their opener on Friday before rallying to sweep Chestnut Hill in the nightcap.

LOOKING AT THE NUMBERS
- Leanna Jadus (Long Beach, Calif.) posted a game-high 15 kills and added a game-high 16 digs against Jefferson. She finished with eight kills and 10 digs against Chestnut Hill.
- Alyssa Gage (Beverly Hills, Fla.) registered 11 kills against Chestnut Hill and contributed nine against Jefferson.
- Gabriela Vazquez (Meriden, Conn.) notched 14 kills against Jefferson and had eight kills and six digs against Chestnut Hill.
- Freshman Kailyn O'Neal (Katy, Texas) registered 35 assists against Jefferson and another 21 against Chestnut Hill.
- Anna Venard (Thornton, Colo.) had a game-high 15 digs against Chestnut Hill and 14 against Jefferson.
