Volleyball Drops Two To Close Wilmington Tournament

NEWARK, Del. – Senior Leanna Jadus (Long Beach, Calif.) posted a pair of double-doubles, but the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team lost both of its games at the Wilmington University Tournament today. The Owls were defeated by the host school, 3-0, and then Holy Family, 3-1.

LOOKING AT THE NUMBERS
- Jadus a game-high 17 kills and added a team-high 16 digs against Wilmington. She registered 11 kills and 16 digs against Holy Family. For her efforts, she was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Alyssa Gage (Beverly Hills, Fla.) registered 10 kills and five digs against Wilmington and contributed 13 kills, five blocks and a .481 hitting percentage in the nightcap.
Gabriela Vazquez (Meriden, Conn.) posted nine kills and nine digs in the opener and nine kills and 11 digs against HFU.
- Freshman Kailyn O'Neal (Katy, Texas) registered 31 assists against Wilmington and 23 against Holy Family.
Anna Venard (Thornton, Colo.) had 11 digs against Wilmington and 10 against Holy Family.

The Owls open NE10 play at home against LeMoyne on Tuesday.
