HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Owls tied it up in the 20th minute off a penalty kick scored by freshman Kelsey Burr (Wallingford, Conn.), the first goal of her collegiate career. The Owls ended the half tied at 1-1.

- Southern broke the deadlock in the 67th minute, as Kelley (East Brookfield, Mass.) one touched shot off a cross from junior Kelly Lamb (Ledyard, Conn.) to give the Owls a 2-1 lead. Late in the game, junior Johanna Wahlen (Baden-Wurtemberg, Germany) scored a screamer to the bottom right corner over the goal to give the Owls a two-goal cushion and seal the 3-1 win over Saint Michael's.
