NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team fell to Bentley, 3-1 at Pelz Gymnasium. The Owls fall to 9-11 overall and 2-3 in the Northeast 10, while the Falcons improve to 18-4 overall and 7-0 in the NE10.
Freshman
Ella White (Gurnee, Ill.) led the attack for Southern Connecticut with 14 kills, four digs and three blocks. Junior
Abigail Epstein (Crystal River, Fla.) knocked down 11 kills with a team-high .206 hitting percentage. Senior
Anna Venard (Thornton, Colo.) tied a career-high 27 digs, while freshman
Gabriela Gaibur collected 18 digs, six kills, and two service aces. Graduate student
Jennifer Dawson (Clinton, Conn.) tied a season-high in service aces with four adding 11 digs.

- Jen Dawson, who nabbed 11 digs during the match, has tallied double-digit digs in five of her last six games.Â

- With 14 kills, Ella White collected her third-straight double-digit kill game, tying her single-game career-high set on Sept. 14 against Bloomsburg.

- This was the third time this season Anna Venard has tallied more than 20 digs in a game. Her last 20-dig game was on Oct. 13 against Daemen with 21. Twenty seven digs is also a career-high Venard, a high she set on Oct. 17, 2017 against American International.
- Abby Epstein has tallied double-digit kills in two-straight games, collecting 11 against Bentley. She has also collected a block in each of her last three games.
