NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team fell to non-conference opponent Molloy College, 3-1 at Pelz Gymnasium. The Owls fall to 9-12 overall, while the Lions improve to 17-4 with the win.
Junior
Abigail Epstein (Crystal River, Fla.) led the attack for the Owls with 13 kills and a team-high .444 hitting percentage, while collecting a career-high four solo blocks and two service aces. Freshman
Gabriela Gaibur (Monroe, N.Y.) notched her first career double-double with 10 kills and 16 dig, while
Tea Carter (Modesto, Calif.) collected 37 assists.
Erika Benson (Kings Park, N.Y.) chipped in eight kills and four blocks, and
Anna Venard (Thornton, Colo.) tallied a team-high 17 digs.

- Gabriela Gaibur tied her career-high in kills with 10, while also collecting her first career double-double.
- Abby Epstein has tallied double-digit kills in three-straight games, collecting a team-high 13 against Molloy. She has also collected a block in each of her last four games.
- Jen Dawson, who nabbed 11 digs during the match, has tallied double-digit digs in six of her last seven games.
- Dawson has tallied at least one service ace in each of her last seven games and currently leads the conference in total aces with 35. With her lone ace against Molloy, Dawson breaks her single-season career-high, a feat she previously set during the 2018 season when she had 34 aces.
