Women's Soccer Falls To Saint Rose, 2-1

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team lost to The College of Saint Rose, 2-1, in a Northeast 10 Conference match-up at Jess Dow Field in New Haven, Conn. With the loss, the Owls drop to 8-6-2 overall and 5-4-2 in NE10 play while Saint Rose improves to 12-2-1 overall and 8-1-2 in the NE10. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Golden Knights' first goal came in the 30th minute when Nina Predanic played a cross to the box from the corner that Olivia Boucher headed past Owls keeper Allie Smith to take a 1-0 lead. 
  • Predanic scored a goal of her own in the 54th minute when she converted on a penalty kick. 
  • In the 54th minute, Marisa Grisell sent a beautiful pass on goal to a cutting Nadine Hilkert. Before Hilkert could get a foot on the ball, a Saint Rose defender deflected it past her own goalie to cut the Saint Rose lead in half.

Southern Connecticut will play its final regular-season game of the season when it travels to North Easton, Mass. to take on Stonehill on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m.
