Southern Connecticut is set to host Pace University on Saturday, Feb. 23 for Senior Day at 3:30 p.m. at James Moore Field House. Southern is currently fourth in the Southwest Division with an 11-8 conference record, while Pace sits in fifth with a 9-9 record. The Setters are led by Peyton Wejnert who averages 17.7 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game while the Owls are led by Isaiah McLeod who averages 21.6 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game. 


ALL-TIME VS. Pace
The Setters lead the all-time series against the Owls, 22-17. Southern won its earlier matchup against the Setters 86-82, on Dec. 8, 2018.

 
THE OWLS' LAST TIME OUT
The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team fell to Adelphi University, 81-75 at the Center for Recreation and Sports.
• C.J. Seaforth led the Owls in points with 30, shooting 11-for-14 from the field and knocking down five three-pointers. 
• Joey Wallace recorded his first double-double of the season with 11 points and a team-high 10 rebounds.
• Kealen Ives tallied 23 points, shooting 5-for-9 from beyond the arc, while adding three rebounds and two assists.

THE OWLS BY THE NUMBERS
 •  Beesley ranks 41st nationally and leads the NE10 with 8.8 rebounds per game. His 194 total rebounds rank third in the NE10 and 59th nationally.
 •  Kealen Ives' 6.1 assists per game rank fourth in the NE10 and 16th in NCAA Division II basketball. His 153 total assists also rank third in the NE10 and 12th nationally.
 •  Isaiah McLeod ranks second in the NE10 and 22nd nationally at 21.8 points per game. McLeod is leads the NE10 in three-point field goal percentage (45.6%) while also ranking 16th nationally.
 •  As a team, the Owls' 253 three-pointers rank third in the conference and 19th among all DII schools while their 39.9% from three-point ranks second in the NE10 and 23rd nationally. 

MCLEOD HAS CAREER WEEK
In two games last week, McLeod posted back-to-back career-high's. With 34 points against AIC he broke his previous career-high that was set on Jan. 20, 2018 when he scored 32 against Bentley University. Then, the senior tallied 35 points against Le Moyne to reset career-high for the second consecutive game.

RECORD-BREAKING NIGHT FOR OWLS

• Taurus Adams II hit a season-high with his team leading 25 points, his previous season-high was on Dec. 15, 2019 against Jefferson when he scored 14 points.
• Joey Wallace broke a career-high with 22 points, his previous career-high was on Nov. 18, 2017 when he scored 21 against Le Moyne.
• Kealen Ives tallied his fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, his last double-double came against Saint Michael's College on Feb. 2, 2019 when he recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds.
• Mekhi Warren broke a career-high with 15 points, his previous career-high was set on Dec. 30, 2018 with eight in the game against Queens College.
• The Owls never trailed for the entire 40 minutes, the last time that happened was on Jan. 2, 2019 against LIU-Post.
• Six Owls' tallied double-digit points: Adams II (25), Wallace (22), Warren (15), Ives (12), Seaforth (12) and McLeod (10). The last time five Owls hit double-digit points was on Jan. 23, 2019 against Franklin Pierce University.


MAKING HISTORY
• The Owls' 24-for-24 showing at the free throw line against Bentley on Jan. 26 gave SCSU its most free throws without a miss in a game in program history.
• It is also the second time that SCSU shot 20-or-more free throws in a game without a miss and the first time since the Owls were 20-for-20 at the charity stripe against Pace on Nov. 25, 2014.

CAREER NIGHT FOR THE OWLS

• On Jan. 26, the Owls posted an upset with a 100-88 win against nationally-ranked No. 24 Bentley behind a trio of career-best performances. 
• 
Isaiah McLeod collected a career-high 33 points in the Owls' win against No. 24 Bentley. His previous high came on Jan. 20, 2018 against Bentley when he had 32.
Kealen Ives notched a career-high of 29 points. His previous high came on Jan. 15 against Saint Anselm when he had 27.

•  C.J. Seaforth (Hamden, Conn.) collected 22 points, five assists and a career-high four steals.
• It was the second-straight game that the Owls scored 100 points in a game following a 100-89 win against Franklin Pierce on Wednesday, Jan. 23. It was also the sixth time in program history that SCSU has scored 100 points in back-to-back games, with the last time coming  during the 2015 season.

 • With his 3 points against Adelphi, McLeod now stands in 10th place with 1,694 career points and trails Tylon Smith 15' for 9th place all-time at SCSU with 1,761.
