HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The score was tied at 0-0 through the first 45, while Meagan Kelley had two opportunities to put the Owls on the board. She had a strike from the top of the box that glanced off the cross bar and also came up with the ball in a scrum in front of the net before sending it wide.
  • Franklin Pierce broke through in the 58th minute of play when Veronica Marques played the ball to Keyla Gonzalez Jaen who took a dribble before sliding her bid past Owls goalkeeper Allie Smith.
  • Franklin Pierce jumped out to a 2-0 lead when Jessica Magrman set up Ciersten Palumbo with the marker in the 69th minute.
  • Meaghan Kelley finally broke through with her first goal of the season when she took a feed from Kaitlyn D'Amico and blasted a shot over the Ravens' leaping goalkeeper to cut FPU's lead in half, 2-1, with 14 minutes to play.
  • Pierce's Palumbo and Vasques added goals in the closing minutes of play to seal the three-goal victory for the Ravens.
