WALTHAM, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team fell to Bentley University, 3-1, in the Northeast 10 Quarterfinals at the Dana Center. The Owls record stands at 23-10, while the Falcons improved to 15-11.
Graduate student Gabriela Vazquez (Vega, Alta, Puerto Rico) led Southern's attack with 12 kills, and chilled in on defense with 12 digs and three blocks. Junior Gabriela Gaibur (Monroe, N.Y.) had 23 digs, seven kills, and two service aces. Sophomore setter Taylor Jones (Middletown, N.Y.) recorded 29 assists, while graduate student Abigail Epstein (Crystal River, Fla.) had six kills, seven blocks, and four service aces.Â
