The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team will travel to Springfield, Mass. to face American International College on Saturday, Sept. 18.

Spectator Policy
American International College has released its spectator policy for the Fall 2021 season. More information on the spectator policies for each NE10 institution can be found here. 
  • Outdoor Contests - Spectators are not required to wear face coverings if fully vaccinated. Unvaccinated visitors are required to wear a facemask if social distancing is not possible.
  • Indoor Contests – All spectators (regardless of vaccination status) are required to wear face coverings, and social distance whenever possible.

All-Time Against AIC: 7-13
The Last Time They Met: The last time these two sides met was on Sept. 17, 2019 when AIC captured a 3-2 win in overtime. Alyssa Haskins and Chloe Knight scored for the Owls.
 
Last Time Out
The Owls defeated Franklin Pierce University in their conference and home opener on Sunday, Sept. 12.
Notes
  • Kiley Jackson and Josephine Nolet scored their first collegiate goals on Sept. 12 against Franklin Pierce.
  • Kaitlyn Bourque recorded her first goal of the season and the second goal of her career against Franklin Pierce on Sept. 12. This is also the first game-winning goal of her career.
  • Karen Sicha recorded her second collegiate defensive save against Franklin Pierce on Sept. 12. 
  • Kiley Jackson and Josephine Nolet became the first pair of Southern rookies to score a goal in the same game since Jessica Maier and Karley Welles did so on Sept. 20, 2017 against St. Thomas Aquinas.  
  • The last time the Owls scored three-or-more goals in a game was on Oct. 12, 2019 when SCSU defeated Molloy, 4-1. 
Ward Earns NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Ward earned her first major weekly award as a goalkeeper in Week 2 after playing a pivotal role in the Owls 3-2 conference win over Franklin Pierce on Sept. 12. She played all 60 minutes, allowing just two goals and made 14 stops en route to the Owls' victory.. She currently leads the conference in saves with 55.
