Back in the Saddle
Southern will take the field for the first time since the 2019 season after the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19. The Owls return six players from 2019 including: Julia Schaff, Abbey Kellerman, Megan Habakangas, Kaitlyn Bourque, Alyssa Haskins, and Janelle Ward.
SCSU also welcomed four players during the 2020-2021 pandemic season with Brianna Caffrey, Grace Conselyea, Kiley Jackson, and Abigail Koonankeil all joining the squad.

Offseason Additions
The 2021 Owl squad also features three newcomers including: first-year players Josephine Nolet, and Karen Sicha, and sophomore Brianna Shaw. Shaw is a new face to this field hockey side, but not new to the Owl uniform as she debuted as a member of the lacrosse team at SCSU during the 2021 spring season.

Leading the Squad
Head Coach Kelley Frassinelli announced that seniors Julia Schaff and Alyssa Haskins along with junior Janelle Ward will captain the 2021 squad.

Up Next
The Owls first home game will be a NE10 conference matchup with Franklin Pierce University on Friday, September 10th at 7 p.m.
