NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team swept its two-game series against Bloomfield College and The College of Saint Rose. The Owls closed out their back-to-back days of tri-matches with four straight wins. SCSU improves to 4-0 on the season, while Bloomfield fell to 0-1 and Saint Rose fell to 2-1.

Gabriela Gaibur (Monroe, N.Y.) had a game-high 13 kills along with 12 digs to kickstart the Owls offense.
Taylor Jones (Middletown, N.Y.) continued her steady play and tallied her second-straight game with 20-or-more assists with 23 in game one.
Lillee Olson (Savage, Minn.) picked up a game-high 16 digs, while
Krishnalei So'oto (Oceanside, Calif.) had 12 digs.

Notes
- Gabriela Gaibur tallied her second double-double of the season in game one with 13 kills and 12 digs.
- Taylor Jones recorded her fourth-straight game of double-digit assists, and finished the four-game weekend with 68 total assists. The last first-year player to tally double-digit assists in their first four collegiate games was Kailyn O'Neal from August 23, 2018 to August 27, 2018, where she registered four-straight games with 20-or-more assists.
- With the exception of the 2020 pandemic year, this is the second-straight season the Owls have gotten off to a 4-0 start to the season.
- The only set the Owls have lost so far this season came during the third set of their match against Queens on Sept. 3. In total, Southern has won seven consecutive sets dating back to their Sept. 3 match against Queens after sweeping both Bloomfield and Saint Rose.
