Southern Connecticut State University men's and women's swimming & diving will host Central Connecticut State University on Friday, Jan. 28 at 3 p.m. at the Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium in the James Moore Field House in New Haven, Conn.

SENIOR DAY
Prior to the start of Friday's event, SCSU Swimming & Diving will recognize Evan Bombery, Tyler Cusano, Rebekah Lockery, Ashley Sloan, Loren Wurst and Nicole Cislo as part of its 2021-22 Senior Day festivities. Live video of the Senior Day ceremony will be available on The Owls Network prior to the start of the event.

SPECTATOR POLICY
In working towards the goal of ensuring a normal competition schedule for its student-athletes, SCSU Athletics has decided to prohibit spectators from attending events at the James Moore Field House and Hutchinson Natatorium until further notice.
 
University and athletic department officials will continue to monitor any changes to public health guidelines and adjust accordingly.

2021-22 NORTHEAST 10 CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Southern Connecticut' Hutchinson Natatorium was selected to host the 2021-22 NE10 Championships, which will be held on Feb. 17-20. Spectators will not be allowed for the event, but a free live video will be available at NE10Now.tv.

SENIOR DAY HONORS
  • In his time with the Owls, Evan Bombery was a four-time NE10 Championships medalist, including the 2019-20 NE10 500 Freestyle Champion. In addition, Bombery also captured second-place finishes in the 1,000 and 1,650 Freestyle events at that season's conference championships. As a sophomore in 2018-19, Bombery finished third in the 1,650 Freestyle.
  • Tyler Cusano was part of the bronze medal winning 400 Freestyle Relay team at the 2018-29 NE10 Championships and also scored in the 50 and 200 Freestyle events in helping the Owls to a second-place finish.
  • Nicole Cislo is a four-year NE10 Academic Honor Roll recipient and a major contributor to the Owls' 2019 and 2020 NE10 Championships.
  • Rebekah Lockery is also a four-time NE10 Academic Honor Roll selection. Lockery also medaled at the 2019-20 NE10 Championships, taking the bronze in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle event. For her career, she has four top-five finishes at the conference meet, including the 200 Yard Breaststroke and 1,650 Freestyle in addition to the 100 Free.
  • Ashley Sloan posted career-best times in the 1,000 Yard and 1,650 Yard Butterfly events during the 2020 regular-season and also set career marks at the 2019-20 NE10 Championships in the 500, 1,000 and 1,650 Yard Freestyle events.
  • Loren Wurst's top times for her career also came during the 2019-20 NE10 Championships in the 500 Yard, 1,000 Yard and 1,650 Yard Freestyle events while her best 200 Yard Freestyle time came in the previous conference championships.
