SCSU Field Hockey Falls To No. 7 Assumption

WORCESTER, Mass. – Southern Connecticut field hockey lost to nationally-ranked No. 7 Assumption, 3-0, in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup in Worcester, Mass. With the loss, Southern drops to 4-9 overall and 3-6 in NE10 play while Assumption improves to 10-3 overall and 7-1 in the NE10.

Southern outshot the Greyhounds, 19-16, while Assumption held the edge in shots-on-goal, 9-8. Kaitlyn Parent (Glastonbury, Conn.) stopped six of Assumption's nine shots on goal in the game while Grace Conselyea (Milford, Pa.) recorded a defensive save for the Owls, her third of the season.

The Owls return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 26 when they host Bentley in a NE10 matchup at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
