SCSU Field Hockey Blanks Molloy, 1-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut field hockey defeated Molloy, 1-0, in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup at Jess Dow Field. The Owls won their final home game of the regular season to improve to 5-12 overall and 4-9 in the NE10 while Molloy dropped to 1-15 overall and 0-12 in conference play.

Grace Conselyea (Milford, Conn.) recorded her fifth defensive save of the season to tie the SCSU single-season record set by Sadie Young in 2015. Tori Geaglone (Enfield, Conn.) had a goal and a defensive save while freshman goalkeeper had three saves to record her third shutout of the season, the most at Southern since Audrey Dolloff had three clean sheets in 2015.

Geaglone's fourth goal of the season came on a penalty stroke with time expired at the end of the first quarter.

Southern will wrap-up the 2022 season on Friday, Nov. 11 when it travels to Saint Anselm to take on the Hawks in a NE10 matchup at 6 p.m. in Manchester, N.H.
